  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol). Rub hands until sanitizer has completely dried.
Physical Distancing
  • Physical distancing means keeping space between yourself and other people. Physical distancing from others is the best way to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Follow floor marketers to stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people, even when wearing a face covering.

Frequently Asked Questions

This will include things such as new, one-way customer flow through dining spaces with proper physical distancing, reduced seating, frequent sanitizing of surfaces, PPE wearing, mobile order pickups in retail, and more. Please read the safety overview above for complete information.

Yes. For the safety of our dining team and for our other guests, we please ask that you wear a face covering when you are in our dining spaces.

Seating in the dining halls will include a very limited amount of single-person tables. Overflow seating will be available in Levin Ballroom and Mezzanine, Sherman Function Hall and International Lounge. You are also welcome to take your meal to-go and enjoy outdoors or in your dorm room.

If you are dining in retail, we encourage you to take your meal to-go. There will be very limited seating in Upper Usdan.

Bite is Sodexo's mobile app that provides key information for navigating the campus dining experience. It will be an important tool for guests this semester.

You may have already used Bite to view menus in the Dining Hall ahead of time. This will still be an important resource, allowing you to make your meal decision in advance and optimize flow through our dining spaces. Additionally, a second app, Bite for Universities, will be used as a mobile ordering platform in retail.

You’ll find a new ORDER tab in the Bite for Universities App. Peruse the ordering menus, add items to your cart, check out and pay. At your chosen time we’ll have your order ready for you at a clearly marked pick-up zone – no time waiting, extra time to enjoy your meal and get about your day. Contact free, easy, and convenient.

Meals will be processed via mobile orders on Bite for Universities at Louis Deli, Dunkin', SubConnection, Tres Habaneros, AFC Sushi, Farber Starbucks, Einstein's, and The Stein. Locations in the Usdan Student Center like Louis' Deli, SubConnection, Tres Habaneros and AFC Sushi will be mobile ordering ONLY, requiring you to utilize the Bite app to place your order.

Absolutely. We continue to remain committed to providing safe, allergen-free meals on campus through our Simple Servings station in both Dining Halls and the My Zone pantry. Grab and go options in retail will also take into consideration vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free needs. Learn more about nutrition on campus and contact our Dining Services Dietitian, Karen Jew, if you have any additional questions.
Eliminating plates and cutlery helps reduce potential touch points in the Dining Hall that could transmit the virus. The dining team will serve your meal into a single use compostable/recyclable container with a packaged set of cutlery and napkins. You will then be able to take your meal to go and help support social distancing in the dining spaces.
The single use containers provided to you for to-go dining on campus are compostable or recyclable. Please dispose of them in the proper bins on campus to help ensure their ability to be composted and/or recycled.
